There are people in our life who know us—I mean really know us.  It may be your spouse, a parent, a close friend, a relative, or even a co-worker that can take one look at you and know that something is up. 

I have done it. I have pressed for what I wanted. I did not understand that God’s ways are better. His ways are not my way. His plan is more than I can comprehend

Valentine’s Day-a day to express love! Many people purchase cards, candy, perfume, jewelry, or flowers to give to the one they love.  And some plan extravagant dates at the best restaurants or hotels—no limits for their Valentine's because love is in the air!

I realize that knowing God and trusting in God is easier said than done. When we can’t see what tomorrow will bring, or what will happen if we make this decision or that, it brings on undue stress and anxiety. 

We all struggle when it comes to believing and trusting God with our life - placing it all in His hands. Our hearts may fail but God is the strength of my heart – your heart, and our portion forever!

Throughout all of 2021, I saw the faithfulness and goodness of the Lord in every part of my life. Not everything that came in 2021 was pleasant - it wasn’t.

During the Christmas season, we tend to focus on Mary, the manger, the wise men, the shepherds, and of course, Jesus.  But what about Joseph?  I mean, most people would think that Joseph's role was of lesser importance than Mary.

I think secretly we all dream of a Hallmark perfect Christmas where everything goes smoothly and all our plans and festivities come off without a hitch. 

Here's the thing -- we also live our lives day in and day out, facing good days, along with, all kinds of heartaches and crises that arise. When the hard times come, we, too, cry out to the Lord, He hears us and He answers.

We will have days that we soar; and, we will have days that we fail.  But whichever the case may be, we get up and place Jesus in His rightful place as Lord of our life.  And then we trust Him to keep us in the palm of His hand as we learn, grow, and mature in our walk with Jesus.
